Maybe you need a screen repaired, have a busted window or a STIHL chain saw that needs a tune-up. Our Repair Center can patch, replace and tune-up just about anything you need to have fixed.

Our Rental Center is a store within a store…with a complete selection of quality rental items and expert customer service. Rent tools hourly, daily, weekly or even monthly. It’s up to you. We offer everything from aerators, lawn mowers, tillers and post hole diggers, to drain cleaners, floor sanders and pressure washers. Stop in to Maine Hardware first for the know-how to rent the right equipment for the right job.

Supplies for Greater Portland’s electrical contractors. From wiring to finished electrical products in stock. We can always special order any item you require.

We carry an extensive array of electrical parts, bulbs, track lighting, breakers, exhaust fans, fuses, wall plates, wire, ceiling fans, interior and exterior lighting fixtures, electrical tools, switches, dimmers, and so much more.

Key Copying

We copy keys of a wide variety, including house and apartment keys, car keys, padlock keys, and more. Bring the original key with you, and ask any team member at the front counters.

UPDATE: We have resumed chip key copying services. Please check with our Rental and Repair Department, located in the next room at the end of Aisle 33.

Recycling Programs

Fluorescent (CFL) Bulbs

Moving away from CFLs? Bring us your burnt-out (not broken) CFL bulbs (up to 17 eight-foot tubes per day). We’ll package them in a RecyclePak, and send them off to Veolia for proper recycling. Stop by the front counter and speak to a member of our staff.

leftover paint

Bring your paint/stain/varnish to us for recycling! We participate in the PaintCare program. You can bring in up to five gallons per day, and they must have their original can, lid, label, and have the liquid product inside (not dried out or empty). Rechargeable Batteries

Bring your rechargeable batteries (including rechargeable tool batteries) and old cell phones to us for recycling through Call2Recycle. We do not accept regular single-use batteries. Stop by the front counter and speak to a member of our staff.
