Maine Hardware opened its doors back in 1935 on Congress Street as a plumbing and electrical wholesaler. In 1978, we moved to our current location and today, Maine Hardware occupies over 37,000 square feet on 2 floors at Union Station Plaza on St. John Street.

During the 1980's, Maine Hardware became more consumer and retail oriented and twice expanded the store in the 1990's. In the mid 90's, Maine Hardware developed their commercial and industrial divisions and now has two outside and two inside salespeople.
